Things to do in Epsom with kids

Ryhme time and story time
Rhyme time is held in Epsom Library every Thursday from 10:30am and is free. The 30-minute session uses nursery rhymes and songs to help children develop. The below video gives a little insight as to what to expect from a rhyme time session.

Rugby Tots
On a Saturday morning Rugby Tots is held at Stamford Green Primary School. The sessions use children’s imagination whilst engaging in a sporting activity and introducing kids to rugby. The sessions are forty-five minutes long. Please keep in mind that you have to book before hand.
Age range: 3.5-5 year olds

Once upon a time
Once upon a time is an indoor soft play which has a café for the adults (which always good). The soft play is from babies to five-year olds. There is plenty for the little ones to do. There is a homemade food menu and the soft play is open most days from 9.20am to 5pm. There is also an onsite Kids Hair Salon called Snippety Do Dahs which is attached to the soft play.

Baby Sensory
Baby Sensory are classes for a babies first year which are designed to stimulate all of the senses including touch, hearing, smell and sight. It’s a great way to meet new parents with classes taking place all round Epsom and the surrounding area.

Swimming
The Rainbow Leisure Centre has a children’s pool and an adult pool. It’s a great pool to take young children to and for them to enjoy the water.

Ballet
The Rainbow Leisure Centre also offers ballet lessons to youngsters. Classes are during the school term and last 14 weeks.

Activities with young children in Epsom
Odeon Kids Club
Odeon Kids Club is held every weekend morning and everyday during the school holidays at Epsom Odeon. The screenings show child friendly films which the whole family can enjoy. However, it is always important to book in advance. Also the price the price is discounted for these viewings.
Age range: 3-11
Price: £3.25 for children and adults. A family of four could go to the cinema for £13, bargain.

Sutton & Epsom Rugby Club
There is a ‘mini’s’ session every Sunday between the first Sunday in September and the last Sunday in April with pre-advised breaks for Christmas and Easter holidays. Under 5s to Under 10s train at the Sutton and Epsom Club house which is located at Rugby Lane, Cheam and U11s train at Priest Hill Sports Ground. The club have a dedicated page to minis and explains how the game changes for the minis from U5 up to U11. Both of Jon’s sons went through the minis rugby at Sutton and Epsom.

Happy Glaze Ceramics
Take your kids on a unique opportunity to paint their own piece of pottery at Happy Glaze Ceramics. You get two hours to paint your pottery and then the shop puts your pottery in the kiln and you pick it up at a later date. You can even book a birthday party where you can paint dinosaur eggs!

Price: £5 studio fee (for paints) and then from £8 for a mug, bowl and plate.
Go for a walk
Epsom is a very green area and there are a number places to go for a walk with children. Our personal favourite is Epsom common however, it is always nice walking around Nonsuch Park or up on the Downs.

Hobbledown Farm
Hobbledown Adventure Farm, is a great place if you have kids. Firstly, you have the animals, including meerkats. Secondly, Hobbledown has an internal soft play and an external play park. It’s great for kids of all ages.

Activities for Teenagers
Chessington World of Adventures
One of the most famous theme parks in the UK and it is on the door step of Epsom. The theme park caters for all ages and has an aquarium and safari. However, the most enjoyment is out of the rides which all teenagers would love. If you book online you can get good deals and look out for two for one vouchers which appear on the side of cereal boxes and crisp packets.

Adventure Golf
Adventure golf is an amazing mini golf course at Horton Park Golf Club. Set in a jungle, golfers have to get round the course and there are obstacles in the way. The below video shows how much fun it is. You may think it might be a bit young for teenagers, we beg to differ.

Surbiton Raceway
Don’t let the name fool you, Surbiton Raceway is actually in Worcester Park. There a number of racetracks depending on age (you can take part from as young as four). But teenagers will love the arrive and drive.
